BIOGRAPHY
Dove Award-winning Seventh Day Slumber has been a consistent force in the music industry for over two decades. With over 500,000 albums sold and more than 300 million streams, the band has achieved two Billboard #1 albums, eight #1 singles, and numerous Top 10 hits. Known for their authenticity and deeply relatable lyrics, Seventh Day Slumber continues to perform more than 200 dates annually, connecting with audiences around the world through their powerful music and heartfelt ministry.
While widely recognized for their impactful presence in Christian rock and the general market rock scene, Seventh Day Slumber is equally known for their worship projects. Their worship albums, which include beloved tracks streamed millions of times, have touched countless lives and showcase the band’s heart for creating music that brings listeners closer to God. This ability to span genres and connect deeply with diverse audiences is a hallmark of the band’s legacy.
Their 2022 album, Death By Admiration, marked a bold step forward, blending searing rock riffs with emotionally raw themes. Produced by Kellen McGregor of Memphis May Fire, the title track—co-written with Telle Smith of The Word Alive—debuted at #69 on the Billboard Top 200 and features the chart-topping single “Halos,” which reached #23 on Billboard’s Mainstream Rock Chart. This success led to tours with bands like Saliva and Fozzy in 2022 and 2023, and earned them the rock slot on “Winter Jam,” the nation’s largest Christian tour.
In 2024, the band released Fractured Paradise, an album that elevated their sound even further. Featuring collaborations with artists like Kellin Quinn of Sleeping With Sirens, the project combines the band’s signature intensity with heartfelt melodies, resonating deeply with fans. Tracks like “Blistering Memories” and “Chemical Burn” explore themes of pain, healing, and redemption, further solidifying their reputation as a band unafraid to tackle life’s most challenging moments.
Seventh Day Slumber’s mission extends far beyond the music. Frontman Joseph Rojas, who overcame a near-fatal overdose and a $400-a-day cocaine habit, continues to share his testimony of hope and healing. The band remains dedicated to addressing issues like addiction, depression, and self-worth through their music, ministry, and live performances, inspiring fans from all walks of life.
